Privacy Policy

Vignettera collects the minimum personal data needed to register a vignette against your vehicle: the licence plate, the country of registration, the vehicle category, the dates you choose and an email address for the confirmation. This page explains why each is needed, who receives it and how long it is kept.

Cookies and tracking on this website

These pages set no cookies and run no analytics, advertising or social media scripts, so there is nothing on this site for you to consent to or opt out of. If that changes, for example if analytics or advertising measurement is added, this page will be updated and a consent banner will be shown where the law requires one.

What is collected and why

Your licence plate, country of registration and vehicle category are collected because a digital vignette is stored against exactly those details in the national register, and an order cannot be placed without them. Your email address is collected to send the order confirmation and to reach you if something about the order needs clarifying. Your payment details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never seen or stored by Vignettera.

The lawful basis for handling this data is the performance of the contract you enter when you place an order, and, for the records we must keep for accounting, compliance with a legal obligation.

Who receives your data

The vehicle details are passed to the national toll operator of the country you ordered for, because that operator issues and stores the vignette. Payment data is processed by our payment provider under its own privacy terms. Vignettera does not sell personal data, does not share it with advertisers and does not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

How long it is kept

Order records, including the plate and the vignette period, are kept for as long as needed to prove the vignette was placed and to satisfy accounting and tax obligations. After that they are deleted. Email correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for support.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for deletion where no legal obligation requires it to be kept, object to processing or ask for your data in a portable form. Write to support@vignettera.com. If you are in the EU or the UK and are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Note that a request to delete order data does not remove the vignette itself, because the vignette lives in the national operator's register and is governed by that operator's own retention rules.

Server logs

The server hosting these pages keeps standard access logs containing the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser user agent. These exist for security and troubleshooting, are not linked to an identity and are not used for advertising.
